Bahrain Mirror: Sheikh Maytham Al-Salman, Head of Religious Freedom Unit in the Bahrain Human Rights Observatory (BHRO), said that the authorities prevented today (August 23, 2016) the prominent lawyer and human rights defender Mohammad Al-Tajer from leaving the country.
Al-Salman explained in a tweet that Al-Tajer was heading to Turkey with his family in a private trip.
The authorities prevented yesterday the head of the monitoring and documentation unit at the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) and human rights activist Enas Oun from leaving Bahrain.
The authorities intensified the campaign against human rights activists and Shia clerics in the most violent campaign against the opposition since the crackdown on the protests demanding democracy in March 2011.
