Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court handed down a one-year prison term to Shiite religious reciter Abdullah Subah, in a second verdict linked to participation in the ongoing open sit-in since over two months ago in the Diraz area.
Another Bahraini court had issued a similar sentence against Shiite cleric Ali Humaidan.
"Religious reciter Abdullah Subah has been sentenced to one year in prison over charges of assembling in the Diraz area where a peaceful open sit-in is being held in protest of the King's revocation of Sheikh Isa Qassim's nationality," said Deputy President of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), Yousef Al-Mohafdha, in a tweet.
