Bahrain Mirror: Martyr al-Hayiki's family Lawyer, Sayyed Hachem Saleh, said that "bruises and wounds, which were visible on Martyr al-Hayiki's body, prove without doubt that there is a criminal suspicion behind his death," and thus rebuffs what was said by official bodies, that his death was of natural causes.

Saleh stressed that "those who conducted the investigations with the martyr's family should have went to the morgue and inspected martyr Hassan's corpse, which is a very normal procedure to be done in an investigation. After that, it would be decided whether there is a criminal suspicion or not, since those investigating should have went to the inspection before the medical examiner had issued his report".

Regarding the steps to be adopted by the martyr's family, the lawyer said, "We are waiting for the medical examiner's report to compare it to the bruises visible on the body."

"The martyr's car, devices and personal belongings are still in the Public Prosecution's custody, and we therefore ask that they hand them to his family, he added, further noting, "We filed a complaint to the Public Prosecution requesting they hand over the possessions, yet we still have not received any reply so far."

The Special Investigation Unit of the Public Prosecutor issued a statement yesterday in which it claimed that investigations led to viewing Martyr al-Hayiki's death as natural.

Al-Hayiki was died after less than a month of being detained. His companions in prison said that he was subjected to severe torture and deliberate medical neglect, which led to his death.
