Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa voiced on Tuesday (June 14, 2016) his support for the measures taken by the Government of Bahrain against Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society; i.e. suspending its activities and closing its headquarters.
While receiving a delegation from the Northern Governorate, the king said that the government's actions against some societies, who were violating the law, are aimed at maintaining homeland security and stability.
An Administrative court responded to the request of the Ministry of Justice to suspend Al-Wefaq's activities. The ministry also dissolved two Shiite religious societies; the Islamic Enlightenment Society (Tawiya) and Al-Risala Society.
