Bahrain Mirror: Following interrogation, the Public Prosecution released on Monday (February 15, 2016) the prominent Shiite cleric and president of the dissolved religious scholars council, Sayed Majeed Al-Mashal, on the condition of staying at a specified place of residence.
Sheikh Maytham Al-Salman, who heads the religious freedoms unit at the Bahrain Human Rights Observatory, had said earlier in a tweet that the Bahraini authorities summoned on Monday Sayed Majeed Al-Mashal to the Al-Houra Police Department. Al-Salman added that the police department decided to refer Al-Mashal to the Public Prosecution without giving further details on the charges raised against him.
