Bahrain Mirror: Abdullah Al-Shamlawi, one of the defence lawyers of Al-Wefaq leader, Sheikh Ali Salman, said that they requested "a copy of the Prosecution's plea and record of the court hearing, during which we were not allowed to deliver our plea", stressing that their "request was denied" by the court.
The Fourth High Criminal Court presided over by Judge Ali Khalifa Al-Dhahrani refused to hear the plea of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society Secretary General, detainee Sheikh Ali Salman, interrupted him and adjourned his verdict to June 16.
International human rights organizations say the Sheikh Salman's trial lacks the international standards of justice and consider him a prisoner of conscience, and that his arrest is based on his expression of his political views.
