Over three consecutive days preceded by a glorified official political media campaign, Bahrain held a conference sponsored by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, entitled: "Broadening the Tent: Freedom of Religion and Belief".

The Public Prosecution ordered the arrest of Bahraini historian Jassim Al-Abbas detaining him for 7 days pending investigation over the charge of publishing false information about a historical incident. Al-Abbas was taken into custody after he was summoned for interrogation on January 30, 2020.

The authorities released on Tuesday (February 4, 2020) historical researcher, Jassim Hussein Al-Abbas, owner of the famous historical blog "Sanawat Al-Jareesh".

Al-Wefaq held the international community and UN institutions responsible for this dreadful reality, because they ignore the demands and appeals of the people of Bahrain and tolerate their suffering, while these institutions respond to any voice raised anywhere else except the voice of Bahrainis.

Local Bahraini Al-Ayyam newspaper dismissed head of sports department Akil Al-Sayed as well as sports journalist Abdullah Al-Babetin after the newspaper published a poll recording a drop in the national clubs content with the performance of the Ministry of Youth.
