132 People Referred to Public Prosecution for Violating Covid-19 Precautionary Measures

Bahrain Mirror: A total of 132 people have been referred to the Public Prosecution by the Health Ministry for violating precautionary measures in place to combat the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19).

According to the Public Health Directorate, 126 people have been referred for violating compulsory home quarantine, 4 are managers of commercial stores who were referred for violating health conditions and procedures that must be followed in the shops.

2 people were referred to the Public Prosecution for violating the order to close industrial and commercial stores.

It is worth noting that the penalty for violating the home quarantine may be up to three months jail sentence or a fine of no less than 1,000 BD and no more than 10,000 BD.
