Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's second high criminal court presided over judge Wajih Al-Shaer with the memberships of judges Saber Jomaa and Omar Al-Saidi and Iman Dismal as a secretariat, upheld 7-month jail term against a defendant over insulting an officer and taking part in an unlicensed assembly.
The prosecution accused the suspect of insulting a public servant while performing his duty and taking part in unlicensed assembly.
The First High Criminal Court had sentenced the defendant to 6 months in prison over the first charge and 1 month over the second one. The defendant appealed the verdict and the court accepted the appeals in form but refused it in content and upheld the appealed verdict.
