Bahrain Mirror: The security authorities arrested on Monday, December 11, 2023, four citizens after summoning them for interrogation on illegal charges.
The four citizens are: Mohammad Hasan Saleh, Mohammad Sadiq Al-Fardan, Hasan Mohammad Atiya and Abdullah Hasan Abo Hameed.
Meanwhile, the authorities renewed the detention of Mahdi Nasser Ahmed, 17, for 30 days pending investigation over taking part in a pro-Palestine protest. It is to note that Mahdi Ahmed is the grandson of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qassim.
In a similar context, the security authorities arbitrarily prevented historical researcher Jassim Hussein Al Abbas, author of "Sanawat Al-Jareesh" blog, from traveling outside the country.
This came after Al Abbas was arrested in November 2023 over a research paper he presented during a religious event on October 2, 2023 in Ma'ameer marking the Prophet's birthday, in which he discussed researches he conducted on the ancient history of Bahrain and the relationship of the people of Bahrain with the Islamic religion and Shiism.
