Bahrain Mirror: Following the increase in the rate of protests being staged across Bahrain calling on the authorities to cancel the visit of the president of the Israeli occupation, Isaac Herzog, scheduled for Sunday (December 4, 2022) to the capital, Manama, the Zionist enemy's media outlets spoke of strengthening the so-called "presidential security" for Herzog, during this visit.

The Zionist "Zaman" website stated that "Herzog's visit to Bahrain is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Sunday. As the date of the visit approaches, criticism of him on social media in Bahrain is increasing."

"After increasing posts calling on the authorities in Bahrain to cancel Herzog's visit, and even threats against him, it was decided to reinforce Herzog's presidential security," they added.

Demonstrations continue in Bahrain to voice rejection and condemnation of Herzog's visit, which was made in response to an invitation he received from Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa.

Demonstrators waved Bahraini and Palestinian flags, and chanted slogans denouncing Herzog's visit and normalization with the Israeli occupation, amid strict security measures imposed by the Bahraini police and security forces.

For his part, the top Bahraini religious authority, Sheikh Isa Qassim, stressed that "normalization is treason," rejecting "the desecration of the land of Bahrain by the president of the Zionist entity."

"Our proud people's words and actions say: No to the desecration of the land of faith and dignity by the president of the Zionist entity," said Ayatollah Qassim.

The Bahraini Al-Wefaq Society had called earlier for active participation in an online demonstration in conjunction with the Zionist President's visit, stressing that "the position of the Bahraini people is firm in advocating the Palestinian cause."

It is noteworthy that in mid November, Israeli media reported that the president of the occupying entity intends to visit Bahrain and the UAE for the first time on December 4.

Zionist Channel 13 reported that Herzog "will hold meetings with the Bahraini king, senior officials in the kingdom, and members of the Jewish community," for the purpose of "strengthening relations and expanding cooperation."

Herzog's visit to the UAE and Bahrain comes more than two years after the agreements to normalize relations that took place under the auspices of the United States of America.
