Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said "Our first, our second and our third threat comes from Iran," indicating that his country depends in its security on allies, such as the United States of America and Israel, after the signing of normalization agreements.
In a 90-minute conversation with a group of American (Evangelical) businessmen, Al Khalifa reiterated his accusation that Iran transports weapons and explosives, attempts to attack his country with drones and trains Bahraini Shiites militarily.
"Being a small country, we had to invent our depth of security," Al Khalifa said. "Our strategy is based on layers of security... That means we depend on our allies like the United States and now the Abraham Accords is another layer to strengthen the security," in reference to Israel.
The Bahraini minister expressed concern over reaching a nuclear deal between Iran and the United States, accusing Iran of being responsible for the 2011 protests and supporting the Shiite majority that led the protests.
