Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Despite the deliberate coma that the official state media in Bahrain has put itself under, and the authorities' insistence on not showing sympathy with the Palestinian cause, thousands of Bahrainis took to the streets on Tuesday evening (May 11, 2021), in sporadic demonstrations held across the country.

Demonstrators chanted slogans of solidarity with Palestine and Al-Aqsa, and held posters expressing support of the Palestinian resistance, also raising the Palestinian flag.

The protests denounced the normalization made by the Bahraini authorities with the Israeli occupation.

For his part, Deputy Secretary of the National Islamic Al-Wefaq Society, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi, saluted the Palestinian resistance, and said on his Twitter page: "The crescent of Eid of glory and dignity was witnessed this year in occupied Palestine... and accordingly, all our days and (days) of the resistance and the free people are deemed [a form of] Eid and victory."

The Bahraini opposition groups called for public demonstrations next Friday under the slogan "For Al-Quds."

Hundreds of Bahrainis have taken part in protests, despite strict security measures, in the past few days, in solidarity with Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa, and condemning the occupation's attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and worshipers in it.

These protests were launched following the impact of the Palestinian movement that erupted in Al-Quds to denounce the occupation's brutal policy against worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque and its attempts to displace the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

The Bahraini masses hailed the resistance groups, which declared a battle against the occupation that they dubbed, "the Sword of Al-Quds," opening the battle with a rocket strike on occupied Jerusalem and an Israeli vehicle in the northern Gaza Strip, followed by intense rocket strikes targeting the vicinity of Tel Aviv and the settlements of the Gaza envelope.

For its part, the Israeli occupation bombed several areas in Gaza. This led to the deaths of more than 32 Palestinians, including children, and dozens of injuries.

It is noteworthy that Bahrain had concluded a normalization agreement with "Israel" last September, amid widespread Bahraini popular rejection.
