2.9 Million People Crossed King Fahad Causeway in August

Bahrain Mirror: Figures show that 2,918,993 people crossed King Fahd Causeway in August, a daily average of more than 94,000 people. The monthly figure shows an increase by 4.4% over August 2018.
Despite the increasing numbers, vehicles needed an average of 23 minutes to cross the causeway from Saudi Arabia into Bahrain during the peak hours lasting from 10 am until 10 pm. However, vehicles driving into Saudi Arabia between noon and midnight needed an average of 24 minutes.
The peak day was August 3 when 117,542 people drove over the causeway in both directions. The lowest figure was 57,600 on August 11, the first day of Eid Al Adha, King Fahad Causeway Authority Executive President Emad Al Muhaisen said.
It is noteworthy mentioning that the longest time needed to finish the transit procedures of travelers during August was 60 minutes towards Saudi Arabia on 3/8/2019 and 68 minutes for those heading towards Bahrain in early August.
Meanwhile, the lowest recorded time was 8 minutes towards Saudi Arabia on 29/8/2019, and 7 minutes towards Bahrain on 31/8/2019
