Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Pakistani journalist Fahad Desmukh said that a Bahraini military delegation is recruiting more Pakistanis to crush the democracy-seeking movement.

He explained via a tweet that this comes "just days after the dictator Bahraini King conferred its highest award on Modi," indicating that "the recruitment is being facilitated by our own [Pakistani] armed forces."

"Just a reminder that in 2013, Bahrain deported over 450 Pakistanis who had been recruited into its military because they protested to demand the salaries that they were promised when they joined," he said in another tweet.

At least 450 Pakistanis who were sent to Bahrain to join its army were deported back home after allegedly being kept hostage for 19 months, the Pakistani Express News newspaper reported.

The young Pakistanis, who are all university graduates, were issued visas by the Pakistani government and were promised a job in the Bahrain Army with the starting salary of Rs100,000. The army, however, took the young men hostage and tortured them, according to one of the deportees. The men were not given food and access to toilets for five days and were not allowed to phone their family and friends back home.
