Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh said on her Instagram page that the police demanded family of former MP Osama Al-Tamimi to hand him over despite of his critical health condition as he is incapable of moving or speaking normally due to the brain stroke he suffered 5 days following his detention. It is noteworthy that Al-Tamimi is still receiving treatment in a private hospital. Al-Saegh indicated in the news she published on her page that "the police is now knocking at Al-Tamimi's door violently and demanding to turn him in, while his children are terrified over his fate, especially that he suffered from a stroke. He is currently receiving treatment in a private hospital."
Many questions have been raised over what Al-Tamimi was subjected to after the authorities arbitrarily arrested him by breaking into his home and raiding it on August 6, 2019. What he was subjected to during the 5 days in detention is still unknown as no news were reported about him before photos were circulated of him in Al-Salmaniya Medical Complex on August 11 lying in bed suffering a brain stroke. Al-Tamimi didn't suffer from any disease before, Al-Sayegh said quoting his family, noting that he was an athlete and owner of a well-known gym.
