More than 2 Million Effective Mobile Phones Lines in Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: An official statistics issued by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) indicated that 2172 Bahrainis are employed in the telecommunications sector, compared to 732 foreigners.
The statistics showed that the total number of residential telephone lines has reached 155,293 lines by the end of last year, in addition to 73,612 commercial lines. Meanwhile the number of internet residential lines reached 2,155,070 residential lines, compared to 9,828 commercial lines.
As for the number of fixed telephone lines, it reached 225,759, while that of the effective mobile phones lines reached 292,714 mobile phones.
