Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Press Association deplored Manama's hosting of the economic workshop (economic part of deal of the century), despite "assertion and consensus of all Palestinian components on the refusal and boycott of this conference".
The Association stressed in a statement its firm stance in supporting the Palestinian people in establishing an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
It further highlighted that the answering of any Bahraini journalist of the Israeli Foreign Ministry invitation to visit Israel is a flawed and flagrant deviation from the history of the Bahraini press, its present and committed future, and continued commitment to supporting the just Palestinian cause.
The Bahrain Press Association concluded its statement by affirming that "the historical positions of the Bahraini press in supporting the Palestinian cause denounce and condemn the recent policies of the government and the participation in a project that attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause."
