Ibrahim Sharif Sentence Suspended for 3 Years

Bahrain Mirror: The Third High Criminal Court ordered to suspend the execution of the 6-month prison term issued against prominent opposition leader and former Secretary-General of Wa'ad Ibrahim Shairf to 3 years, from the date of issuing the verdict.
The first instance court sentenced Sharif to 6 months in jail over a tweet deemed insulting to the Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir.
Sharif said in front of the court that he didn't cross in his tweet the limits of free speech regarding the political incidents witnessed in the Sudanese Republic.
