Bahrain Mirror: Saudi Arabia announced on Friday it had revoked the citizenship of Hamza bin Laden, the son of the late Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden who was designated a "global terrorist" in 2017 by US.
Saudi Arabia revoked his citizenship via a royal decree, a notice published on Friday by a local gazette said.
The announcement comes after the US government offered a $1m reward for information leading to his capture.
"Hamza bin Laden is the son of deceased former Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and is emerging as a leader in the Al-Qaeda franchise," the US State Department said, indicating that it seeks any information leading to the "identification or location" of Hamza bin Laden. US has offered a reward of up to $1 million for anyone who helps in his arrest.
