Hisham Al-Sabbagh Launches Hunger Strike against Preventing him from Treatment

Bahrain Mirror: Leader in Islamic Action Society (Amal) Hisham Al-Sabbagh enters his 3rd day of hunger strike protesting against being prevented from his right to treatment.
Prison authorities in Bahrain don't allow treatment of political prisoners on a regular basis, which led to health deterioration of several detainees and death of some.
Human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh reported Al-Sabbagh's protest, who said that "his treatment has stopped despite the need for healing the injuries of the torture he suffered during interrogation after his arbitrary arrest", in addition to the denial of access to a special diet proposed by a doctor earlier this year.
