Taxes Series…VAT to be applied to Banking Services

Bahrain Mirror: Continuing the series of taxes that will be levied on the Bahraini citizen starting January 2019, the Governor of Central Bank of Bahrain Rasheed Mohammed Al-Maraj disclosed that VAT will also be applied to all fee-based banking services.
The central bank is currently studying how to levy taxes on Islamic banking transactions, so that they do not have a negative impact, Al-Ayam newspaper reported.
