Bahrain Mirror: Head of the Legislative and Fatwa Authority, the executive director of the 2018 elections, Nawaf Abdullah Hamza, announced that the final tables for the candidates of the parliamentary and municipal elections will be announced on Sunday, November 4, 2018, instead of November 7, which was set according to the election schedule.
He explained that the decision comes in view of the fact that the deadline set for the announcement of the final tables on November 7 was established on the basis of the legal period set for the High Civil Court of Appeal to look into the appeals filed, as November 6 was scheduled to be the last day for looking into appeals.
According to the court, Hamza declared that the number of candidates for the membership of the House of Representatives is 293, while the number of candidates for municipal councils reached 137, which makes the total number of candidates in the elections 430.
