Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Interior Minister accused on Friday (October 19, 2018) accounts managed by Iran of being behind the threats candidates of municipal and Parliamentary elections received.
The Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security said that the department had monitored and followed up the complaints by some candidates that they had received threats on the social media asking them to withdraw their candidature.
He added that "an investigation showed that those social media accounts were managed in Iran by the political groups operating outside Bahrain, including Al-Wefaq Society, to disrupt the election process."
