Prosecution Announces Deaths of Four Workers in Collapse Accident in Salmaniya, Building Owner Detained Pending Investigation

Bahrain Mirror: Head of the Capital Governorate Prosecution Office, Nawaf Al-Awadhi, said that the Public Prosecution received a report from the specialized security administration regarding the collapse of a building located in the Salmaniya area, consisting of three floors and used as a housing unit for workers, which led to the deaths of four people and left 28 others injured.
He said that the Public Prosecution questioned the owner of the building about the charges raised against him and the violations committed in the building, which led to the deaths and injuries of the occupants, adding that it ordered holding him in pre-trial detention for seven days pending investigation. He further stated that investigations are underway, victims are giving their statements and technical reports are being prepared before referring the case to the criminal court.
