27 Citizens Detained for 15 Days for Performing Prayers on Eve of 10th of Muharram in Manama

Bahrain Mirror: A number of activists reported on Twitter that the Bahraini Public Prosecution issued a warrants ordering the detention of 27 Bahraini citizens for 15 days pending investigation on charges of performing prayers on the tenth night of Muharram in downtown Manama.
The Interior Ministry summoned two Shia citizens who had performed prayers in the capital Manama and took part in the mourning ceremonies on the tenth night of Muharram (19 September 2018).
Reports said that worshipers had been summoned on the grounds of holding photos of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim., noting that interrogations were taking place in the Naeem police station.
The authorities have arrested several preachers and organizers of Ashura ceremonies this year on charges of "inciting hatred against the government".
