Bahrain Mirror: On Friday, September 14, 2018, SALAM Organization for Democracy and Human Rights announced that it had received complaints from prisoners of conscience held at Jaw Central Prison in Building 4, stating that 14 detainees had been isolated in Ward 2 after their condition had deteriorated due to the outbreak of scabies in the building.
Prisoners said that those in "serious conditions were transferred to the Salmaniya Medical Complex amid the lack of proper drinking water or shower water, while sanitary wares are not provided in the buildings." They further noted that they are being prohibited from getting out to the outside yard, which contributed to the spread of the disease.
