Bahrain Mirror: Family of detainee Amira Al-Qashaami said that their daughter was severely harassed in prison, where she is serving a 5-year jail term over political background.

Bint Al-Huda, sister of Amira, said that the latter was subjected to a thorough search and that her private clothes and memoirs were confiscated. The prison administration refused to return Amira's belongings, without mentioning reasons.

Bint Al-Huda explained that the rest of female prisoners arrested over political background were also oppressed, subjected to collective punishment and through search, which led to depriving them of their personal belongings.
