Tenth Court Hearing of Sheikh Ali Salman's Trial Held on Charges of “Communicating with Qatar,” Case Adjourned until June

Bahrain Mirror: The tenth court hearing of Sheikh Ali Salman's case and two other defendants was held on Tuesday (April 2018), on charges of communicating with Qatar.
The Public Prosecution accused Salman of having communicated (spying for) with Qatar over phone calls between him and Qatar's former prime minister, Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, which took place in the framework of political endeavors to resolve the crisis that broke out in Bahrain in February 2011.
Al-Wefaq Secretary-General denied the charges raised against him, while Qatar's Prime Minister commented on the accusations in a television program, stressing that the "incriminating" phone calls were done with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's knowledge and as part of the Gulf-US initiative to settle the crisis.
The court; however, decided to adjourn the opposition leader's case until June 21, 2018.
