Ombudsman S-G Meets with US Ambassador, Explains Role of the Secretariat

Bahrain Mirror: The Secretary General of the Ombudsman Secretariat office, Nawaf Mohammed Al-Maawda, received at his office in the Seef district the US Ambassador Justin Hicks Siberell on Monday (April 9, 2018).
An official statement said Al-Maawda briefed the American Ambassador on the role of the Grievances (Ombudsman) Secretariat in promoting respect for human rights in its fields of work and specializations, as well as its most important endeavors and activities since its launch. He also explained the role of the Prisoners and Detainees Rights Commission, which he noted is the the first of its kind in the region.
