Bahrain Mirror: An official statement said that the Bahraini government approved the reduction of the minimum wage of social housing beneficiaries to 500 Bahraini dinars per month, noting that 2,600 people benefited from the program launched in 2013.
The Cabinet approved the launch of a new upgraded version of the benefits program that allows those with an income between 500 to 1,500 dinars, whose applications are on waiting lists, to benefit from the program.
The new version is expected to be put in force in early 2019, according to the government statement.
Housing requests in Bahrain have been accumulated due to the government's failure in planning, in addition to financial deficits, corruption and naturalization of thousands of non-Bahrainis to work in the security services.
