Bahrain Mirror: Family of opposition leader, detainee and death convict Hassan Mushaima warned that his health is deteriorating, indicating that it received a call from him stating that the sugar level in his blood reached 26.
The family expressed on its Twitter account on Tuesday (January 16, 2018) that this level of sugar is "very dangerous and may expose him to serious risks like stroke, angina or kidney failure."
The family made an appeal "to all people of conscience to sound the alarm and warn of what may happen to our father due to being deprived of treatment", stressing that the Jaw prison's administration insistence on depriving Mushaima of treatment is "a clear killing process that has bad consequences".
Mushaima and other opposition leaders are serving life sentences over leading vast protests in 2011 that demanded to put an end to Al Khalifa monopoly over power, end discrimination against Shia majority and make them take part in governing the country
