Sheikh Hamza Al-Dairy Arrested to Serve One-Year Jail Term

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities arrested on Wednesday (January 10, 2018) Shiite cleric Sheikh Hamza Al-Dairy, after a court upheld one-year jail verdict against him.
Information revealed that Al-Dairy was arrested from the court after an appeals court upheld a verdict against him, over expressing support with the highest religious authority in Bahrain Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim.
The authorities killed 6 citizens in Diraz and is imprisoning dozens over taking part in the protest held near Sheikh Isa Qassim house, who is under house arrest since his citizenship was revoked in June 2016.
