Bahrain Mirror: Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al-Ahmed Al Sabah received on Tuesday (January 2, 2018) the Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in a short visit.
Information revealed that the visit aimed at getting approval of Kuwait in continuing to provide financial support to Bahrain after its share of Gulf marshal set by Gulf States to Bahrain in 2011 ended.
An official statement said that the meeting reviewed the progress of the long-standing Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, and the advanced level they have reached at the bilateral and GCC levels.
3 states (Saudi Arabia, Emirates and Kuwait) finished their shares of Gulf marshal set by GCC states as $10 billion. Meanwhile, Qatar didn't pay its 2.5 billion share due to political disputes.
Bahrain suffers from severe financial crisis due to oil price drop and political unrests witnessed in the country since 7 years.
