Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahrain's Foreign Minister, Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, deemed the US president's move recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital a "side issue".
"It's not helpful to pick a fight with the USA over side issues while we together fight the clear and present danger of The Theo-Fascist Islamic republic," the minister said in a tweet on his official account Wednesday (December 20, 2017), on the eve of a UN vote on a resolution condemning the United States.
An official Bahraini delegation had visited Israel and toured Jerusalem with Israeli foreign ministry officials, days after Washington recognized the holy city as the capital of Israel.
The delegation conveyed to the Israeli side a letter from the King of Bahrain confirming his faith in peace and coexistence with Israel.
