Bahrain Mirror: The Public Prosecutor's Office extended the detention of 70 Bahrainis arrested in the Diraz raid for 30 additional days on Thursday (December 7, 2017), after they have completed six months in behind bars.
A lawyer familiar with the case said the prosecution is planning to refer all detainees from the Diraz raid to one case to trial, and does not intend to release any of them.
The authorities have arrested about 300 citizens since they stormed the town of Diraz on May 23, 2017. The open ended sit-in that was held outside the house of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim was cleared by force. This raid left five killed and a large number of protesters arrested and injured.
