Bahrain Mirror: The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Sunday (November 12, 2017) that officials in Bahrain are falsely pointing fingers at Tehran after every incident that occurs in their country, noting that "they should know that the era of childish accusations is over."
In a statement, Qassemi rejected the "foolish and baseless accusations" made by Bahraini officials against Iran, claiming Tehran was involved in the oil pipeline explosion that took place in their country.
"Apparently, the only thing that Bahraini officials have been taught to utter following any incidents in the island is accusing Iran," Qassemi added, stressing that "the era of such delusional remarks and lies as well as hype and childish accusations is over."
"We have always insisted and stressed that we consider stability and security in all our neighbors as our own stability and security and remain committed to it," the Iranian official further stated.
On Friday night, an explosion hit a main oil pipeline, at the state-run Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) refinery, causing a huge fire in the surrounding area of Buri, south of the capital Manama.
Bahrain's Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa claimed in a statement that the incident was "an act of sabotage and a dangerous act of terrorism aimed at harming the higher interests of the nation and the safety of the people."
