Bahrain Mirror: The Public Prosecution interrogated the two opposition leaders Radhi Al-Mosawi and Ibrahim Sharif as well as journalist Ahmed Radhi and charged them all with "assembly", aiming at justifying the travel ban against them.
Interrogating him, the prosecution charged former Wa'ad Secretary-General Radhi Al-Mosawi with taking part in an illegal assembly in A'ali.
The prosecution also interrogated former Wa'ad Secretary-General and opposition leader Ibrahim Sharif and accused him of illegal assembly in Bilad Al-Qadeem and chanting anti-regime slogans.
The prosecution also accused journalist Ahmed Radhi of assembling in Bilad Al-Qadeem. Meanwhile, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs informed him that he is banned from traveling.
The authorities in Bahrain penalize activists with travel bans, so they would not be able to participate in international events, especially the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) sessions held in Geneva.
During the opening of the UNHRC 36th session on Monday, the High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid bin Ra'ad Al Hussein criticized the Bahraini authorities' severe restrictions imposed on civil society and political activism through arrests, intimidation and travel bans.
