Bahrain Mirror: A number of Hajj campaign managers announced that the authorities in Saudi Arabia have imposed new fees on pilgrims, noting that they are obligated to provide a securityman for each apartment building in Mecca, costing 1,500 dinars.

They explained, according to Al-Bilad newspaper, that a fee will be imposed on each pilgrim at the airports of Madinah Al-Munawwarah and Jeddah, adding that the fees for pilgrims who will use the Madinah Airport are 52 dinars, while the Jeddah Airport fees are 72 Dinars for each pilgrim. They further pointed out that there is also a fee called "heads of communities," which amounts to 59 dinars for each pilgrim, and all fees are paid via the electronic portal through the licensed Hajj campaigns.

It is noteworthy that the competent authorities for Hajj in Saudi Arabia have developed this year a new system for meals provided by campaigns for pilgrims, as it is obligatory to contract with one of the food companies available on the electronic portal throughout the duration of stay in Mecca.
