Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Public Prosecution announced Wednesday (July 26, 2017) referring 60 defendants to trial next August 22, for establishing a terrorist group, according to Terror Crime Prosecutor Ahmad Al-Hamadi.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Al-Hamadi said that the defendants in this case include 36 detainees, and 24 others currently outside Bahrain.
Among the announced defendants were 10 prisoners whom the government said escaped Jaw Central Prison early last January, including martyr Rida al-Ghasra. Al-Hamadi added that the whereabouts of the defendants outside Bahrain are Iran, Iraq, and one in Germany.
The Prosecution accused the defendants of forming a terrorist group, training on using weapons, killing and attempting to deliberately kill police officers, and hiding fugitives.
