Bahrain Mirror: The Ministry of Labor and Social Development Undersecretary Sabah al-Dossari, said that around 150 thousand workers will be included in the decision to impose a curfew on work at noon, which has been implemented since 2012 in the months of July and August.
The MoL Under Secretary clarified that his Ministry informed all companies of the importance of committing to this decision, and informing the workers affected by it. Moreover, he indicated the importance of drawing a plan for inspections to working sites, organized by Ministry inspectors.
On this level, he added that the former work law did not include all sectors, yet the current law includes all vocational and professional sectors, including domestic labor, as they are banned to work during that time of the day.
Regarding exceptional sectors that are not included in this decision, al-Dossari confirmed that some sectors cannot implement this decision, such in cases of emergencies in the electricity, water, and services sectors. He asserted that there is constant coordination between the Ministries of Labor, Work and Municipalities, and Electricity and Water.
Al-Dossari confirmed that the Ministry refers all violation reports to the Public Prosecution to adopt necessary legal measures.
