Minister of Work: Kuwaiti Fund to Support Alba, Nuwaidrat Roundabouts' Development

Bahrain Mirror: The Minister of Work, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, Isam bin Abdullah Khalaf, toured the Alba and Nuwaidrat crossroads development project, which is development with the support of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, as part of the Gulf Support Program.

Khalaf noted that the work in the project includes transforming the current Alba roundabout to a 3-level crossroad, including a ground-level with traffic lights, a bridge with three directions from the Independence Streets to the King Hamad Street, and another two-way parallel bridge over the aforementioned bridge, from Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabbah Street towards King Hamad Streets.

The project includes the transformation of the current Nuwaidrat roundabout to a two-level crossroad. The first level is the ground traffic-light organized level, and the second is an upper bridge with three directions. The development of the area will also include a new street that links the Maamir Industrial area to King Hamad street, south of Alba roundabout, while the street leading towards the entrances and exits of the Civil Defense Department and Babco company will also be developed.
