Court Sentences Gulf Drunk Man to 5 Years in Prison for Using Weapon during Quarrel in Al-Maared Street

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Fifth High Criminal Court presided over by judge Ibrahim Al-Zayed with the membership of judges Mohsen Mabrouk and Moataz Abu Al-Ezz and Yousif Bu Hardan as a secretariat sentenced a Gulf man to 5 years in prison and 500 BD fine for using his firearm during a quarrel and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

While the suspect (37 years) was in Al-Maared Street in Manama, he had a quarrel with other people, so he took his gun out and fired in the air. It was revealed that the suspect was holding a weapon and ammunition without a licence from the competent party. It was also proven that he was drunk. The suspect, however, claimed that he forgot the weapon in his car.

The Public Prosecution accused the suspect of acquiring on 3/1/2017, a weapon and ammunition without a licence from the competent party.
