Bahrain Mirror: The Legislative and Legal Affairs' Committee at the Shura Council expressed rejection to the Parliamentary draft law stipulating that the Parliament Speaker's power to "appoint assistance secretaries in the General Secretariat of the parliament" be transferred to the King by means of a royal decree.

They also noted that in case the amendment took place, there will be a huge difference between the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives on the organizational and administrative levels.
