Bahrain Mirror: Family of Sayed Alawi Sayed Hussein bear Ministry of Interior and governments officials responsible for Sayed Alawi's wellbeing following 120 days of his arrest, as his family could not know the party that arrested him, his arrest place nor the charges brought against him.
The family announced in a statement on Wednesday (February 22, 2017) that Sayed Alawi has been "deprived from meeting his lawyers since 120 days," adding that "his family was also prevented from meeting him," considering that "the National Institution for Human Rights, Ombudsman, and Special Investigation Unit are the primary supporter and partner for the ministry of interior in the crime of the arbitral disappearance of Sayed Alawi."
The family explained that Batelco, where Sayed Alawi works, has suspended his salary since 2 months, which aggravated the suffering of the family. The family concluded its statement reiterating its demands for Sayed Alawi's immediate release.
