Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain Human Rights Society appealed Bahrain's king not to approve the deaths sentences issued against 3 dissidents, after fears that the authorities would execute them.
The society said in a statement on Saturday (January 14, 2017): "Based on its belief in the right to life, the society denounces the crime of killing, deeming the death penalty a heinous punishment and an act of useless retaliation. BHRS appealed "Bahrain's king not to approve the issued sentences," calling "not to implement the death sentences"
The society indicated that the convicts' family are worried that the authorities would implement the death sentences, especially after they summoned the convicts' families to visit their sons in the weekend in an unscheduled visit."
