Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court sentenced today (July 26, 2016) activist Maasouma Al-Sayed to 6 months in prison over charge of assembly, according to the head of the monitoring and documentation unit at the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) Enas Oun.
Eye witness said that Maasouma attended her trial session today and was then taken to isolated room after the verdict was issued.
According to a judicial source, there are a number of cases against Maasouma, reaching 9.
Al-Sayed had been already jailed over charge of assembly and was released after finishing her prison term.
The authorities usually raise more than one case against any activist in Bahrain to limit his movement and activism. This was the case with the activist Zainab Al-Khawaja who was sentenced over different cases.
