Al-Wefaq Says Lord Avebury's Death Big Loss to Bahraini People

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's main opposition group, Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, offered its sincere condolences for the loss of Lord Eric Avebury, describing him as "the defender of the freedom of all nations," who supported the cause and rights of the Bahraini people over the past two decades.
"Lord Avebury has imprinted his name in history as a supporter of the truth, always faithful to his principles in a time such persons are rare. His death is a loss not only to the people of Bahrain, but to all free people around our world", Al-Wefaq stressed.
"We also offer our deep condolences to his family, friends and loved ones," Al-Wefaq further stated, adding that Lord Avebury is considered a loss to Bahrain before his country the United Kingdom, since he loved the people of Bahrain, called for their rights and supported their cause since the onset of the 1990's.
