Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities have arrested activist Ibrahim Karimi, a Bahraini whose nationality has been revoked in 2012.
Social media accounts stated that his arrest came after the Salafist Bahraini Member of Parliament Jamal Bu-Hassan filed a report against him. However, this information wasn't confirmed by independent sources.
Human rights defenders said that a security forces unit backed by civilian members and armored vehicles raided Karimi's house in Al-Dair, northeast of the Bahraini capital Manama, and took him to an unknown location.
His whereabouts and the charges brought against him are still unknown.
The authorities stripped Ibrahim Karimi of his citizenship by a political decision in 2012, among a group that included 31 citizens, including two former MPs. This is the second time he was stripped of his nationality, as it was revoked in 1980 before being reinstated in 2002.
There are concerns that the authorities will force Karimi to leave Bahrain.
