Saudi Interior Ministry: Bahraini among Suspects in Special Forces Mosque Bombing in Abha

Bahrain Mirror: The Saudi Ministry of Interior said that it had arrested 34 suspects, including 30 Saudis and 4 foreigners (Syrian, Yemeni, Bahraini and Pakistani national) after its investigation efforts into the bomb blast that targeted a Special Emergency Forces mosque in Abha, south of Saudi Arabia.

The security authorities arrested on the same day of this terrorist attack 7 suspects and apprehended 10 others on the following day, in addition to 15 others on August 8 and 9, 2015.

The official Nafetha Tawasol website, affiliated to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, pointed out that the aforementioned suspects are still under investigation. Thus, the total number of detainees held in the General Investigations Department prisons reached 4453 including 3743 Saudis.

It is noteworthy that the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the bomb blast that targeted the Special Forces' mosque in Abha on August 6, 2015, leaving 15 people killed including 12 security officers.
